On the downside , because they have larger openings on the eyelid than regular hummingbird feeders , some vanish dirt ball including bees may get in the sugar water .
I still use them because it does n’t bump too often here , but keep this in mind if your garden is kookie .
How to Make a Mason Jar Hummingbird Feeder
Supplies and Materials
The three main supplies are small Freemason jolt , red daisy lids , and something to attend the feeder .
The red daisy lid are not always available on Amazon . You may have to test various searches to find them from an on-line shop .
Before getting the red daisy lids , I prove drilling holes in plain mason jar force out lids but that create shrill edge that would be unsafe for the birds , so it ’s worthwhile to order the red daisy lids alternatively .
Hummingbirds observe food source by lot . The color red is attractive to them so be sure to apply red lid but never use scarlet sugar water as food color is not in force for them .

Once the hummingbirds are using your feeder afterarriving in spring , be certain to wash out out the containers on a regular basis and replenish the sugar pee .
