A wide range of flowers in a tropical garden

My husband and I have been gardening for almost all of our lives , so sharing this hobby is very rewarding and fun . We have go in many state along the East Coast and presently hold up in Tampa , Florida . When we moved 15 years ago there was very small in the little garden beyond our syndicate , and I commented , “ Let ’s flex this yard into a tropic paradise . ” With much trial and error , we have done just that .
At the end of February , different areas begin to bloom and release their lovely scents and brilliant color . Various planting in different country of the garden take their turns being the star of the garden for several workweek . The aroma travels around the grand approximately every two workweek as fresh blooms set about to burst open .

It is difficult to capture the peach of the whole yard , because there are pockets of blooms at dissimilar sentence and I tend to focus on snap of flower faithful - ups . Here are a few of our looker .
A stunning variegated bromeliad . This is a variegated , ornamental version of a Ananas comosus ( Ananas comosus‘Variegatus ’ , Zones 10–11 ) .

Another powdered ginger , this one a variety show ofCurcuma(Zones 8–10 ) .

Amaryllis(Hippeastrumhybrids ) are normally uprise indoors in cold climates , but they can be planted out in the landscape painting in Zones 8 and warmer , and some variety are even hardy to Zone 7 . Indoors or out , they are beautiful flowers .
Amagnolia(Magnolia grandiflora , Zones 6–10 ) bloom .
