Hylotelephium’Dazzleberry ' was discovered as a single singular works in 2010 amongst the seedlings result from a cross made in the ongoing genteelness program of Chris Hansen between an unidentified plant andHylotelephium’Xenox'(formerlySedum’Xenox ' ) . It was introduced in 2011 and patent ( PP22457 ) in 2012 asSedum’Razzleberry ' and is a part of the discoverer ’s registeredSunSparkler ® series .
Hylotelephium’Dazzleberry ' , formerly known asSedum’Dazzleberry ' , is a compact succulent with foliage that emerges gray - blue in spring and turns dark purple - black in mid - summer . It can originate up to 9 column inch ( 22.5 centimetre ) marvelous and scatter 18 inch ( 45 cm ) , tightly mound , with flower stems that are hold upright and do not founder . The shank areglabrousand pink with very fine striation and can touch up to 0.2 inches ( 0.5 centimeter ) in diam . The leaves are whorled , sometimes polar , elliptical withcrenatetoserratedmargins on the upper half of lower leaves .
