In a Vase on Monday. Fanny.

Much as I love Jane Austen ’s books , I find Fanny inMansfield Parkincredibly bother . Pious , prim , peaceful strong-growing and with no sense of humour ; I would much rather have the disreputable Crawfords round my dinner party tabular array .   But lovelyGalanthus‘Fanny ’ bears no resemblance to the fictitious behind .   No whacky blushing for this cool lady , she is tall , self assured and serene .

I could n’t carry to pick her for in a vase on Monday so I put the stool in a basketful and covered it in moss . I constitute some lichen brood sprig by the river and finished it off with various catkin . The sodding teardrop drop opened up in the warmth . Finding the right fleck to photograph it proved difficult .

I did n’t wish the busy background of books in the dining way so I took her outside . Still not correct , so I thought I ’d attempt her sitting amongst the wintertime aconites . Finally , I decided the best backdrop is in front of my black compost live bin .

Fanny is going back into the greenhouse now , I think it is too warm for her interior . So   I pick a bunch of plainGalanthus nivalisto enjoy on the dining elbow room board . These Fair Maids of February   are such a delight and if you plant them somewhere they can spread they will seed about enthusiastically and you will always have plenty to pick . For the in effect effect always corrupt them in the Green River , the dried bulbs do n’t always do so well , or fail that ask someone with an old garden like mine to give you some .

My next post is going to have to be a snowdrop post because I ca n’t stop croon over them . But after that I will take you into the nursery and show you what endearing things are happening in there .

Meanwhile do pop over to Cathy atRambling in the Gardento find what she has been putting in her vase on this lovely February day . And why not join in and find something to put in a Vase on Monday , it is swell fun and you will be one of a very enthusiastic crew of garden bloggers .

Your snowdrops are beautiful . I did n’t like Fanny Price much either , until I recognise that for all her less attractive trait which you mentioned above , she does flummox to her guns about not being forced into a marriage she finger is wrong for her . She has been promote into things all her living , but , for once , she stands up to Sir Thomas , even though she is punish for her determination . I admire that in her . I look forward to seeing more snowdrops … easily wishesEllie

Now your Monday organization really call up my bell ! Glorious ! ! Thank you . Amandahttps://therunningwave.blogspot.com/2019/02/vases-on-monday-11-february-2019.html

Its always a flake of a secret plan finding the ideal shoes to put an arrangement to photograph . I enjoyed reading about your staging of your growing snowdrops . I am just starting on my journey of grow special wood anemone , and have not wanted to break up any of them . They are in the garden so no possibility of apparel them up . The moss and lichen really set up the blooms and their foliation beaurtifully .
