A riot of color through the seasons
Today John Erskine is partake his garden with us , which we have visited before ( Change Up Your Garden ) .
This retiring class I ’ve been lucky enough to be able to put to work from home . So during the week , I ’ve made many trips to my garden to see how it looks at unlike times during the day and to find interesting Modern views that show off dissimilar plant combination . I uphold to fine-tune my garden , go things around , try new flora , and transfer plants that are unhappy or that I am no longer interested in . I still have n’t figured out how to meld floral abundance with low upkeep , but I ’m crop on it .
Tulipsand otherbulbsmake a colored splash in March here in the San Francisco Bay Area . The vivacious colors are always welcome after the winter . ‘ Barcelona ’ tulips are have here .

This Douglas iris(Iris‘PB&J ’ , zone 6–9 ) is very glad in partial shade in leaping . This is one of the Pacific Coast irises , a chemical group of species ( and hybrids between them ) native to the Pacific Coast of North America and perfectly adapted to the climates there .
I love the soft colors of this ‘ Chicago Peace ’ rise .
It ’s a debauch of colors and flowers in this bottom in give , which include agrostemma(Agrostemma‘Milas ’ , annual ) , baby blue eyes(Nemophila menziesii , yearly ) , ursinia(Ursinia anthemoides‘Solar Fire ’ , annual ) , and others .

Several ‘ Marjorie Fair ’ roses fill this heart - forge bed outlined with aboxwoodhedge .
Crocosmia , Agapanthus , and aHydrangeacombine with aTracheliumcaeruleum(Zones 7–10 ) for a vivacious presentation of color in summer . TheTracheliumreseeds and is by and large welcome wherever it protrude up .
Thissweet autumn clematis(Clematis paniculata , Zones 4–8 ) climb into this abandoned fount and is very glad .
