From weeds to beauty
We ’re bring down Lindsey Cline ’s garden today .
My married man and I bought a log cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia about eight long time ago . The property was a field of Nipponese stiltgrass(Microstegium vimineum , a extremely incursive one-year weed),which we transform into a cottage garden with many edible and pollinator plants . Along with owls , raccoons , and turtle , we ’ve learn to garden with deer and groundhogs . Solomon ’s seal(Polygonatumspecies),muhly grass(Muhlenbergiacapillaris zone 5–11),boxwood(Buxusspecies and hybrids),andspicebush(Lindera benzoin , zone 4–9)are some of my favorites and colligate the garden together .
