The flowers of early summer

My garden is on the South Shore of Boston . Nearly all of these photos were take in my backyard , which is enclosed with a fence to create a court . My hubby and I expend fourth dimension there stimulate breakfast and lunch on the deck .
I attempt to have interesting industrial plant growing all year . These pick were all blossom in June , though the viburnum is best in May .

I enjoy climbing hydrangea(Hydrangea petiolatis , Zones 4–8 ) and have used it both on my pergola ( envision ) and as a ground binding over a stone wall . The climbing hydrangea on my pergola is quite older and is taking over the social structure . Every twelvemonth I plan to prune it back after it blossoms , but I never seem to get to it ! peradventure this year . . .
succulent , both dauntless and not , with sedum and a miniature hosta . I care to hoard succulents , and I found many of them in hypertufa kitty I have made .
An old , unnamed assortment ofpeonyis in the front , with ‘ Seashell ’ and ‘ Crinkled White ’ behind it . In the background is a variegatedBrugmansia , which I winter in my cellar every class .

I planted a selection of hardy succulents(Sempervivumsp . , Zones 4–8 ) in a cadaver trough with red glass beads satiate the spaces between the industrial plant .

Rhododendron‘Scintilation ’ ( Zones 5–8 ) has land up blooming , but sheer foliage is still very attractive .
