Memories of warmer times
My name is Cindi Jacobs , and I live in Wayland , Massachusetts .
I have been garden for class and in this domicile since 1997 . We have 12 repeated beds and one acre of land . Today ’s pictures are from our backyard .
This first picture shows our firepit region . In the means back is theveggie garden(not yet planted ) and a practice session skiing slide . One success I ’ve had was building the firepit area myself ; however , it did n’t come without challenges . In fact , I have change the flooring three time : from pea Harlan Fiske Stone to river rock and now to teak square that clip together . The teakwood flooring is the most comfortable and the easiest to clean .

I delight walking paths , multiple places to sit , and seeing “ treasures ” in the gardens . This path leads to the front of the house .
scene from recent summertime
My boy and daughter used to mount this tree , and one old sign remain .

I have it off using container with annuals for season - long colour and interest . Two of my favorite yearly are variegated ivy(Hederahelix , hardiness count on the cultivar , but all can be used as annuals ) and licorice plant(Helichrysum petiolare , Zones 9–10 or as an annual ) , as they last all season .
The pocket billiards expanse is landscaped with pea plant gem . grain and hardscape are just as important as the plants themselves .
This is a finale - up of the summer blooms in the pool area . The distant brick path leads to the back door .

Another view of fountain blooms . Over the past several years , I have thinned out the iris by give away more than 30 plants a season . If you ’re in my cervix of the woods and involve iris , look no further . I determine how speedily they procreate and take over . My advice is to practice them with care .
look fore to leaping conditions !
