No matter how carefully you care for your unused flower , they will eventually wilt if you do not bear on them . But preserving your flowers can keep them intact for years . Preserve posy from weddings , natal day and other crucial occasions or cut your own fresh blossom from the garden as a spring keepsake to urge on you up when the conditions turn cold .
Step 1
Air dry your flowers as an easy , raw manner to preserve them . take away the leaves from the stems and arrange the bow into small bunches or posy . Tie them together near the bottom with string or rubber bands . Hang the peak up in a dry , fairly fond place such as in a closet . apply twine to secure the bouquets upside down to a clothes hanger or hook and leave them for two weeks . When you retrieve them , they will be preserved , dry flowers .
Step 2
maintain your prime with glycerine to keep them fresh and natural looking . Mix two parts of lukewarm water with one part glycerin in a tub large enough to submerge your blossom . you may also substitute automotive antifreeze . reduce fresh flower that have not wilt and submerge them completely under the liquid and leave them for two weeks . absent and pay heed the blossom upside down to allow the glycerin to dribble out of the flowers and to check that it fathom and preserves the petal .
Step 3
Press your prime to carry on them in a flat frame . coiffe your flowers on top of a level of newspaper several sheet thick so that they do not overlap . blank space several more sheets of newsprint on top of the flowers and grade a firearm of cardboard on top the stack . Step 4

Tip
Flowers dry out in silica gel may reabsorb moisture from the environment , induce them to droop . If you subsist in a humid environment , display your silica - gel preserved flowers in an airtight character with a little amount of silica gel inside to keep the flowers ironical .
