New Year’s Day Dreams.
Sometimes I daydream about having manicured acres with topiary and an army of nurseryman .
I would roll in the hay beautiful , original art work in the garden .
A prominent , juicy , stone frog perhaps .

A Japanese teatime business firm …
And a flock of pinkish flamingos .
I would love an ancient tower to write in .

A wild flower meadow full of aboriginal orchids would be wonderful .
And a beautifully maintained walled garden to supply vegetable all year round .
And I would really love a rill and an botanical garden of rare and ancient tree . And a foresighted parkway lined with lime trees and an infinity swimming pool . And I yearn for an orangery and a massive greenhouse .

But then I look back at the pictures of my house and garden , and I realise I would n’t trade them for any of these things . My funny , higgledy- piggledy house was construct more than 500 years ago . up the stairs , there are slop , oak story and nothing anywhere is even or level . It is a quirky minuscule theater , full of character and I ca n’t imagine experience anywhere else . And the garden is my creation and my dream . Some of the trees and plants were planted before our metre here and I am grateful for them , but I have redesigned every column inch of the garden and made it my own . Most of the plants have been carefully opt by me and many of them grown from ejaculate or cuttings . And it gives me great joy ; this is where I belong to .
Happy New Year to everybody and thank you for reading my web log . It gives me so much pleasure to apportion my garden with you , and I bask reading all about yours . I hope you will rest with me through 2022 as I have an exciting new project to share with you later in the year . I hope all your young twelvemonth ’s day dreams come truthful . And I wish you wellness and happiness and continued joy in your gardens .

We gardeners are a covetous lot , at least when it issue forth to plant but , once we ’ve imprinted ourselves on a garden , it ’s very hard to permit go . Your garden offers so much and , beyond a few task requiring big - duty manual labour or humongous machinery , I surmise you ’d happen it toilsome to ferment over much of the body of work involved to an army of gardeners . You ’ve done a LOT with your space just in the time I ’ve observe your blog and I expect you ’ll never accept any apparent constraint on your vision . You have a gravel garden with Agapanthus and succulents that see like it could be lifted from my part of the world ! I look forward to experience what you ’re up to now . glad new year !
