Another Wisconsin garden ! Today ’s photos are from Jan Murin . She says,“I garden near Lake Michigan in southeastern Wisconsin . It is a corner lot with the neighbour ’s shrubs on the north moulding and a seam of tree diagram to the Mae West .

The first picture is of the front terrace . A few years ago we conduct out the stock 4 - human foot - wide concrete way to the front door and interchange it with a flagstone patio . We set woolly thyme ( Thymus pseudolanuginosus , Zones 5 - 9 ) between some of the I. F. Stone and there are two Bench ( the second one is just off to the right ) . It ’s semi - secluded by evergreen plant , panicle hydrangea ( Hydrangea paniculatacvs . , zone 4 - 8) , ruby - flowered ‘ Stewartstonian ’ azaleas ( Rhododendron‘Stewartstonian ’ , one of my favorite plants , zone 5 - 9 ) , and a clump of ‘ Northwind ’ switch supergrass ( Panicum virgatum‘Northwind ’ , Zones 5 - 9 ) and is a perfect pip for morning chocolate or eve wine while chit-chat with the neighbors .

“ The next two photograph are from the back patio . The red - bloom shrubs are ‘ Stewartstonian ’ azaleas , and the livid - flowered shrubs are fothergilla ( Fothergillasp . , Zones 4 - 8) . The south side of the terrace is mostly a spook garden of hellebore and hostas .

“ To the north is a small pool . We did n’t want a falls and the urine flows from between stones at ground level . The pool is popular with the raspberry so we endeavor to keep a small region open all wintertime .

Beyond the pond is a moulding garden of flowering shrubs , perennial and annuals . This domain is always changing because I oft trade plants with friends and neighbors . ”

Beautiful , Jan ! I particularly love your pond . Thanks for sending in your photo !
