Today ’s photo are from Vicki Reeve . She says,“GPOD boast my Olympia , Washington , garden last calendar month ( freshen your memoryHERE ) , but I think everyone might be interested in a few photo I took of the garden I make at my late home in Chattanooga , Tennessee .

“ We moved there in March of 2005 to a boggy lot with no plant or lawn . as luck would have it we drove a small rental truck loaded with 300 plants to get ourselves started on our new risky venture . And we would ask all those plant life and more because every time it rained , a river of red corpse would rinse down the driveway . As an aside , masses would always ask how many of the 300 plants survived the transition to the hot , humid Dixie I only lost the daphnes , so 298 survived .

“ The first 5 pictures are of the back yard . The third picture is of the evergreen plant dogwood Empress of China , a pet of mine . The weeping willow picture was of the region by the entry to the violent storm protection cellar . This was where we would sit down in a ardent other summer even and observe the cats test to enchant the fireflies . The last picture is the view from the back terrace door count up our hill at the Atlas statue we had impart with us from Washinton body politic .

“ The last 5 pictures are of the drive garden and the front paseo . The first two pictures are of other spring with the bridal chaplet spiraea and redbud in bloom . The paseo pictures are late summer with red salvia , blue asters , and set of dry land covers . The final moving picture is of a favorite plant combination of mine with the ‘ Little Honey ’ hydrangea , the obedient flora , and a rainbow leucothea in the ground . This was a intemperate garden to leave behind ! ”

What a beautiful garden , Vicki ! By my calculations , you made this garden look this good in less that 8 old age . That ’s nothing brusque of a miracle . You are a ball of fire ! Gorgeous . Thanks so much for sharing .

It ’s almost SPRING , people ! I roll in the hay you ’re going through your photos from last class , contrive what you ’ll do otherwise this year . Send some of those photos in to me![email   protect ]
