Fifty years of gardening experience have gone into the creation of this beautiful garden

Michelle and Gil Hart post in word picture of Michelle ’s garden in Spokane , Washington . They have lived at this theatre for about 17 years . The garden is about 1/3 acre and was mere when they moved in , except for perimeter tree and a rough out - in pool . The pond now contains about 3,000 gallons of H2O and has 2 - invertebrate foot koi . These koi ( and their materialization ) have been garden occupant for over 12 years .

Michelle account herself as both a flora collector and a ruthless gardener who ca n’t resist plant that look sick . She says that she ’s learned many lessons the hard way in her over-50 years of gardening . That sound like a perfect formula for learning to be a outstanding gardener to me : Be a collector who try out everything , and then be pitiless about getting rid of anything that does n’t put to work . fault and missteps are inevitable when garden , and the important affair is to learn from them so you do n’t have to reprize them .

This part of the garden pond is framed beautifully by full planting and is presided over by a beautiful sculpture of two herons that , unlike tangible Hero of Alexandria , do n’t harm the koi live in the pool . reckon our tips for plan your first water system garden here .
